What a lovely surprise!!!l

My friend Haley over at The Girly Girl Cooks awarded me with The Stylish Blogger Award!!!
Thank you so much for thinking of me! Being new to the blogging world, this makes me feel very special!

Now I get to pass on the honor of having a stylish blog by following these simple steps:
1. Thank the person who gave you the award.
2. Share seven things about yourself
3. Pass the award on to bloggers you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic.
4. Contact the bloggers you picked and let them know about the award.

Seven things about me...
  1. In exactly 45 days I will be en route to Australia for an awesome girls only trip with my wonderful Mom. She is the BEST.
  2. The very first time I made guacamole, I was some where in the age range of 7-9. We were in Michigan for the Summer and as I was carrying it to the back patio, I dropped it right in front of everybody and it went all over the concrete.
  3. Growing up my family would come to Michigan every Summer because of my Dad's work . My parents decided to make this their permanent home in 2002. I wanted no part of it and stayed south. I came up here to work for the Summer of 2005, went back to FL in September and moved here permanently in November.  I never thought in a ZILLION years I would live here but now I don't think I could live anywhere else.
  4. The first time I tried to follow a recipe...it called for 3 cloves of garlic, at that time, I thought a clove was a whole head. Can you say YUCK?!?!
  5. I am highly allergic to hair dye. I believe it to be related to a henna tattoo I had done at a fair once when I was 16. The so called henna is referred to as "black henna" and contains paraphenylenediamine aka PPD and is the main ingredient in hair dye. The darker the color, the more it contains. From what I have found on the internet, it's not very common. I have yet to talk to a hair stylist that has ever come across this. I have now sworn to my husband & everyone I will NEVER dye my hair again. I hope I don't gray early...
  6. I LOVE pickles!!! All but the bread & butter ones.. When I was 2 my brother convinced me that my name was "pickle head".
  7. I have a 10 year old English Bulldog named Chloe. She snores so loud that I had to move her bed to the living room.
And now I pass this along to the following...

That's all I have for now! I will be back later with great eats from the weekend!

Isn't Haley the best? She past it on to some great bloggers, (that is how I found out about your blog).

I love pickles too! The stinkier the food, the better! I found a recipe I'm dying to try of deep fried pickles with "bread and butter" pickles from Paula Deen. I love pickles, but I love them deep fried even more! Check it out, it sounds right up your alley!

Have a great day, your welcome! ;)
