Cheesy Stuffed Burgers

As you know from my previous post, we have a freezer full of meat. Lots and lots of meat. One thing I love about buying a cow is how much ground beef we get from it! We won't have to buy ground beef for a year....even after giving some of it away...seriously, it's ridiculous...in a good way!

My husband text me randomly last week and said he wanted to make cheese stuffed burgers, so that we did!

Cheesy Stuffed Burgers
Makes two burgers

1lb ground beef
house seasoning, Montreal steak or seasoning of your choice
4 slices cheddar cheese, each slice divided into four equal parts
1 tablespoon butter, divided
1 egg
2 buns of your choice
  1. Season ground beef generously with the seasoning of your choice. Blend together well, add the egg and blend again.
  2. Divide the meat into two equal sized portions, remove a small chunk of the meat from each, this will be used to fill the divot where the cheese/butter is placed.
  3. Form two equal sized patties making a divot in the middle. Place the half of the cheese/butter in each and cover with reserved meat to complete the patty.
  4. Grill over medium/high heat for approximately 6 minutes on each side.
AHHH MAZING
Look at that deliciousness!
GO make these NOW! You won't regret it!!!

Tangy Turkey Burgers with Mushrooms & Onions

Who doesn't love a good burger?? I know I do! I concocted these bad boys up last Summer and had a taste for them yesterday. I don't know what it is about turkey but I prefer to use it instead of ground beef when making burgers at home...maybe it's because you can't really find it on menus around here???
These are so easy to throw together, saute some veggies, slap on the grill and you're done. The steak seasoning and the hint of hot sauce really give it a great flavor. Not to mention the juicy onions and mushrooms to top it off! I like to put A1 sauce on mine...Sooo soooo delish!
I was really lazy last night and served them with good ole' frozen Ore-Ida fries...baked and topped with some seasoned salt.

I don't have much time today, so I will quit yappin now! Here it goes...

Tangy Turkey Burgers

1 lb ground turkey
1 tablespoon steak seasoning
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 clove garlic, minced or crushed
a few dashes of black pepper
a few dashes of hot sauce, I like Louisiana
1 small onion, sliced
1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms
olive oil
provolone cheese slices
onion buns or bun of your choice

In a medium sized bowl add the first 6 ingredients and mix together by hand.
Form into 3-4 patties, depending on how big/small you want them.

Heat a few splashes of olive oil in a medium pan over high heat. Add the onions and cook for about 4 minutes, then add the mushrooms.
Cook until tender, approx 10 minutes.

Grill over medium-high heat for about 10-15 minutes, depending how thick the patties are, flipping once halfway through.
After you flip them, top with the mushrooms, onions and cheese. Continue to cook for about 4 minutes.
Remove from grill and ENJOY!

Sorry for the lack of pictures while actually on the grill....
I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!

The Mad Rooster...

is quite possibly the BEST burger on the planet...in my opinion. Who would have thought it would be so close to home??? I had been craving a good burger for a while and last night we went to the local pub, The Full Bull, to satisfy that craving...and that it did. The Mad Rooster consist of a juicy patty topped with a fried egg, pan fried ham, cheese and on a freshly toasted bun...served with FRESH cut fries...yeah, like I needed those on top of that!

So after I scarfed down the first half, I remembered to take a picture...and the rest is history.

That's all I have to share today.
I know it's a short one but I just had to tell you all about it!!!

PS-I'm making homemade pizza tonight!

TGIF!
